White Scapular

What it is:
The White Scapular, or the Scapular of the Holy Trinity, is worn in honor of the Holy Trinity and was established by Pope Innocent III in the 13th century.

History:
The White Scapular was first given by Our Lady to the founder of the Trinitarian Order, St. John de Matha, as a sign of the Order's mission to ransom captives and to honor the Holy Trinity.

Promises and Benefits:
The wearer of the White Scapular is promised special graces for honoring the Holy Trinity and for performing acts of charity.

The White Scapular should be worn with devotion to the Holy Trinity and the practice of charity.
